Dr. Mary AsteritaYOU ARE LOVED...

Spirituality, Music, Science and Health Care have always had a great fascination for Dr. Asterita-Robol.  Her initial spiritual search began as a life of a catholic nun.  Leading such a focused spiritual life gave her a great understanding of Biblical, Mystical, Philosophical and World Religion disciplines.

In an attempt to pursue her fascination in science, music and health care, she continued her studies in math, physics, music, physiology, biophysics and finally medicine.

With regard to music, Mary studied piano both privately and at the Manhattan School of Music where she also studied music composition.  She has composed music for piano, voice and orchestra.  As an accomplished musician and throughout her career, she has performed various musical compositions for many different audiences.

At present, she is focusing and integrating her amazing piano and harp musical talents into the healing arts which she is presently sharing with us through her CD's.

            I
n her pursuit of physics and math, she studied theoretical physics where she was exposed to the "strange" world of quantum physics.

Physiology and biophysics offered her the understanding of the human body while medicine opened up the wonderful opportunity to provide health care to a broad spectrum of the population.

With regard to her teaching career, Mary spent several years teaching medical students.  She was also a former Director of both a University based biofeedback research laboratory and Hospital based biofeedback clinical program.  She was also former President of the Biofeedback Society of Illinois.

ary's past teaching experience also includes lecturing in the Art of Stress Management and Biofeedback. She has lectured in the fields of Physiology and Biophysics. Prior to that, she held the positions of Physiology and Biophysics Instructor in the Physician Associate Program at the Yale Univ. School of Medicine, Physiology Laboratory Instructor at the Cornell Univ. Medical College and Physics Laboratory Instructor at Iona College.

After moving to North Carolina, Dr. Asterita-Robol spent her time practicing Family and Internal Medicine at Johnston Memorial Hospital, N.C.  Because of her persistent strong desire to incorporate spirituality into medicine and science, she has added the practice of Reiki, Arcing Light, Music and other alternative modalities to the care of her patients.  She is presently semi-retired from her medical practice and now is utilizing her time to incorporate much of her past experience into her present music and writing projects.

She has presented several seminars and workshops in spiritual, scientific and health related topics both nationally and inter-nationally.  She has been a co-author on several scientific research papers and has authored two books on health and physiology, one of which was a best seller and used nationwide as a reference manual.  She has been a guest on radio and TV talk shows.  She is a Reiki Master and Arcing Light practitioner and teacher.

In summary, Mary received a B.A. in mathematics from Marymount College, an M.S. in theoretical physics from New York University, a Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics from Cornell University and a medical degree (D.O.) from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She also received further training in a post-doctoral program at Yale University.

Utilizing her musical talents, her latest project involves using the piano and the harp as a modality in both physical and spiritual healing.  Her piano music CD is an angelic guided work and is entitled "Musical Impressions from the Realms of Light".  Her angel harp CD is entitled "An Angelic Gift of Healing Light and Love".  Both CD's have been used for Meditation and Healing.
